Yoga Teacher Training FAQs

The course lasts 10 months and comprises of 200 hours of tuition, you will also need time for home practise.

We teach traditional a traditional Hatha (essentially all yoga) Raja yoga. We will teach each asana within the ‘asana lab’, then focus on those asana within classes, to truly teach the full experience of each asana, within a full practise.

Jackie Heffer-Cooke is your lead teacher, with 14 years of teaching yoga as her guide. Within her journey, Jackie has opened The Orange Grove Clinic - Norwich’s innovative complementary Health Clinic, she founded and still trains for ZenMuma, ZenKids and ZenTeens, and she leads yoga retreats around the country and the world, this year sees our return to Thailand to teach retreat.
Jackie Heffer-Cooke has a first class degree in English Literature and is studing an MA at the presigious UEA in International Social Development. Her aim is to help change the world for the better, one breath at a time.Jackie will also be assisted by expert guests and speakers from her strong network of specialist gurus and advisors, including psychotherapist, somatic bodywork teacher and sports massage specialist, Nicola Stroud.

Teaching methods include: lectures, workshops, group work, practiced teaching time, guided home practise, reading lists to encourage in-depth learning and discovery and thorough training manuals.

No, because you can travel to the weekend courses in Norwich.

Yes definitely. But it will require dedication to the learning and practise.

The training requires you to attend the weekend trainings at West Lexham, or Norwich.
There is also an expectation of daily home practise and time for further reading.

For the 200 hour you can pay £2200 or £220 a month for 12 months.
(Please note there is a charge for the administration of instalments, taking full payment to £2400)
If paying in instalments a £220 deposit at time of booking is required. This is non-refundable and non-transferable.

No! How wonderful to teach all age groups!

The course aims to be as accommodating and as flexible as possible.

Once you have completed the course, have a valid first aid, and valid insurance you will be ready to teach!

Develop a career that’s suits you! You can work in yoga studio’s, gyms, community centres, leisure centres, schools, places of work, homes, festivals… the world is your yoga oyster!

Yes! In pregnancy yoga, baby yoga, postnatal yoga and kids’ yoga. These are all add-ons you can complete, if and when, you are ready.
