Week 2

Co-hosted by Tara Bishybee

14th-21st February 2027

About co-host Tara

Tara’s work is rooted in movement, breath, touch and the natural rhythms that have guided her through the most challenging chapters of her life. She teaches and offers bodywork because these practices supported her when she needed grounding, compassion and strength — and she loves to share that same steadying presence with others.

Yoga, mobility and functional movement have been part of her life for more than sixteen years. They became especially important during periods of injury recovery and throughout a long season of caring for her family through illness, Alzheimer’s and mental health struggles. Movement gave her structure when everything felt uncertain; breath gave her space when emotions felt heavy; stillness helped her listen inwardly when I couldn’t find the words.

These experiences shaped who she is as a teacher: grounded, nurturing, intuitive and deeply compassionate.

What to Expect

A week built around adventure, connection and seeing a little more of Thailand:

  • Daily practise on the beach

  • A traditional Thai massage by the beach

  • A full-day 4 Island boat adventure

  • Swimming and exploring the Andaman Sea

  • Koh Lanta Old Town

  • A gentle hike through Mu Ko Lanta National Park

  • Bamboo Beach day

  • Travel by traditional local songthaew

  • Fresh, delicious Thai food

  • Plenty of free time to swim, wander, read or do absolutely nothing

  • Optional meditation and philosophy throughout the week

  • Opening and closing ceremonies

  • A group of 20 people who all arrived solo too

Your 8-Day Journey

Day 1 - Phuket

Arrive at Proud Phuket by 5pm, settle into your private room and meet the group before a relaxed sunset dinner at Nai Yang Beach.

A gentle first evening to put names to faces, eat good food and settle into Thailand together.

Day 2 - Koh Lanta

After breakfast, we’ll leave Phuket and travel south together to Koh Lanta.

Settle into your accommodation, unpack, explore your surroundings, take a swim or simply relax after the journey before coming back together for dinner.

Day 3 - Beach, Massage + Opening Ceremony

Our first full day on Koh Lanta is intentionally slow.

We will open with practise on the beach, followed by a tasty breakfast.

Spend time by the beach, swim, read, wander or do very little at all, with an included traditional Thai massage by the sea.

Later, we’ll come together for our opening ceremony- a relaxed chance to properly arrive, get to know one another and set the tone for the adventure ahead.

Optional meditation and philosophy will be woven into the week for anyone who wants to join.

Day 4 - 4 Island Boat Tour

Today we head out onto the Andaman Sea for a full-day 4 Island boat adventure after our beach practise and nutritious breakfast.

Expect turquoise water, incredible island scenery, swimming, beaches and plenty of time out on the open water.

A proper Thailand adventure day.

Day 5 - Island Life

Today is about seeing another side of Koh Lanta.

After morning practise on the beach, we’ll explore the characterful streets of Koh Lanta Old Town, with time to wander, browse, eat and soak up the slower rhythm of island life.

Then we’ll head into Mu Ko Lanta National Park for a gentle hike - nothing crazy, just enough to stretch the legs and explore the jungle, coastline and beautiful scenery.

Day 6 - Bamboo Beach + Closing Ceremony

For our final full day on Koh Lanta, we’ll travel by traditional local songthaew to beautiful Bamboo Beach.

Swim, relax, explore, read, chat or simply enjoy a full day with nowhere else to be.

Later, we’ll gather for our closing ceremony- a chance to look back on the week, the places we’ve explored, the friendships made and everything we’re taking away from the experience.

Day 7 - Back to Phuket

After breakfast, we’ll say goodbye to Koh Lanta and travel back to Phuket together.

Our final night is spent back at the beautiful Proud Phuket, where you’ll have time to relax, enjoy the pool and settle in before we come together for one final beachside dinner at sunset.

A pretty perfect way to finish.

Day 8 - Departure

We’ll share breakfast together before check-out and goodbyes.

Then it’s time to head home- hopefully with a camera roll full of Thailand, a few very good stories and a group of people who definitely weren’t strangers eight days ago.

Where You’ll Stay

The journey starts and finishes in Phuket, with the heart of the week spent on Koh Lanta- an island of long beaches, lush national park, local communities and plenty of space to explore.

Throughout the trip, you’ll have your own private, air-conditioned accommodation, so you get all the fun and connection of travelling with a group without giving up your own space.

Your first and final nights will be spent at Proud Phuket, close to Nai Yang Beach, before travelling together to and from Koh Lanta.

Food

Expect fresh, colourful and seriously tasty Thai food throughout the week- relaxed breakfasts, local lunches and flavour-packed dinners.

Some meals will be part of our planned days out, while at other times you’ll have the freedom to choose where and what you fancy eating.

Vegetarian options are available, with vegan, gluten-free and dairy-free requirements catered for when arranged in advance.

Seeking Paradise: Thailand

7 – 14 February 2027 · Phuket + Koh Yao Noi

£1,400 per person · 20 places · Private air-conditioned accommodation

There are some places that make it easier to slow down.

Koh Yao Noi is one of them.

For eight days, we’ll step away from the pace of everyday life and into a gentler rhythm of yoga, meditation, Tai Chi, sea swims, massage, island adventures and space to simply be.

Seeking Paradise isn’t about filling every hour.

It’s about waking with the island, practising with intention, eating together, exploring somewhere extraordinary and creating enough quiet to notice what happens when there’s finally a little less noise.

Our home for the week is peaceful Koh Yao Noi, tucked between Phuket and Krabi in the Andaman Sea, surrounded by limestone islands, warm water and lush tropical landscape.

There will be movement, adventure and plenty of laughter, but also space for reflection, philosophy, meditation and those slower conversations that rarely happen when life is moving at full speed.

Led by Jax, founder of Freedom Yoga & Retreats and a yoga teacher of almost 20 years, with the travel, accommodation and experiences taken care of once the retreat begins.

Come for Thailand. Leave having found a little more space within yourself too.

What to Expect

A retreat that brings together practice, spirituality, rest and adventure:

  • Yoga and mindful movement

  • Dawn Tai Chi

  • Meditation and guided relaxation

  • Yoga philosophy and space for reflection

  • Traditional Thai massage on the beach

  • Longtail boat adventure through the Andaman Sea

  • Swimming in turquoise waters

  • Guided kayaking through mangroves

  • Traditional Thai batik workshop

  • Beautiful shared meals

  • Time to read, swim, journal, nap or simply do nothing

  • Opening and closing practices

  • A slower rhythm of island life

You don’t need to be an experienced yogi.

The practices are there to meet you where you are- whether yoga is already an important part of your life or you simply feel ready to explore it a little more deeply.

Your 8-Day Journey

Day 1 — Land Softly in Phuket

Arrive in beautiful Phuket and settle into our luxury hotel before meeting the group at 5pm.

That evening, we’ll wander down to Nai Yang Beach for our first dinner together beside the sea.

Nothing complicated. Just good food, sunset, introductions and the feeling that the week has officially begun.

Day 2 — Journey to Koh Yao Noi

After breakfast together, we’ll begin the journey to Koh Yao Noi, travelling by taxi and boat across the beautiful waters of Phang Nga Bay.

Ying and the team will be waiting to welcome us when we arrive.

The afternoon is deliberately unhurried- unpack, swim, rest, explore your surroundings or simply sit and take in where you are.

Later, we’ll come together for our first island practice followed by dinner overlooking the sea.

Day 3 — Your Exhale Day

This is where the retreat rhythm really begins.

Wake with dawn Tai Chi, followed by a morning yoga practice before a slow day with nowhere you particularly need to be.

Swim. Read. Journal. Nap.

You’ll also enjoy an included traditional Thai massage on the beach.

As sunset approaches, we’ll gather for dinner at the beautiful Treetops restaurant overlooking the bay, before gently closing the day with meditation or a guided wind-down practice.

A day to stop doing quite so much and simply arrive.

Day 4 — 4 Island Boat Day

After Tai Chi and morning practice, we head out onto the Andaman Sea aboard a traditional longtail boat.

We’ll spend the day travelling through a spectacular marine national park, exploring limestone islands, beaches and impossibly clear water.

There’ll be time to swim, explore and take everything in without rushing from one place to the next.

Then it’s back to Koh Yao Noi for dinner and a slower evening.

Paradise, in the most literal sense!

Day 5 — Kayaks + Mangroves

We begin with our usual morning practice before heading into the mangroves for a completely different perspective on island life.

With a local guide, we’ll kayak through peaceful waterways and canyon-like landscapes, surrounded by nature.

It’s adventure, but the quiet kind.

Back on Koh Yao Noi, the afternoon is yours to rest before we gather again for a gentler evening practice- loosening the body, settling the nervous system and giving everything from the day somewhere to land.

Day 6 — Batik + Closing Practice

Our final full day on Koh Yao Noi begins with dawn Tai Chi and morning yoga.

Later, we’ll head to the island pier for a traditional Thai batik workshop, guided by local craftspeople and overlooking the sea.

It’s a chance to slow down, make something with your hands and learn about a creative tradition rooted in this part of Thailand.

Back at the retreat, we’ll gather for our final yoga practice and closing circle.

An evening for reflection, gratitude, conversation and celebrating everything the week has held.

Day 7 — Back to Phuket

There’ll be optional dawn Tai Chi for anyone who wants one final early morning together.

After breakfast, we’ll say goodbye to Koh Yao Noi and make our way back across the water to Phuket.

The afternoon is free to relax by the pool, wander, eat, read or do absolutely nothing.

That evening, we’ll meet one final time for a farewell dinner on the beach at sunset.

One last table. One last Thai sunset. And probably a lot to talk about.

Day 8 — Departure

We’ll share breakfast together before check-out and the official close of the retreat.

Then it’s time for the journey home.

Not with a promise that eight days will somehow change everything — but perhaps with a quieter mind, a few practices worth keeping, new connections and a clearer sense of what you want to make more space for when you get back.

The Practice

Yoga sits at the heart of Seeking Paradise.

Throughout the week, Jax will guide a mixture of yoga, mindful movement, meditation, relaxation and philosophy, with the style and intensity changing depending on the rhythm of each day.

Some mornings will begin quietly with dawn Tai Chi. Others will move into a fuller physical practice.

Evening sessions might be slower- stretching tired bodies after an adventure, guided meditation, breathwork, yoga philosophy or simply creating space to reflect on the day.

There’s no expectation to perform, achieve or arrive with years of yoga experience behind you.

The invitation is simply to practise, stay curious and see what comes up when you give yourself the time.

Why Koh Yao Noi?

Sitting quietly in Phang Nga Bay between Phuket and Krabi, Koh Yao Noi feels a world away from Thailand’s busier tourist centres.

Life moves more slowly here. There are fishing villages, rubber plantations, jungle, beaches and views across huge limestone karsts rising from the Andaman Sea.

It gives us the best of both worlds: somewhere peaceful enough to properly retreat, but surrounded by extraordinary places to explore.

Our days move between practice and adventure, stillness and swimming, reflection and shared dinners.

Exactly the balance Seeking Paradise was created for.

Where You’ll Stay

The retreat begins and finishes in Phuket, with the heart of the week spent on Koh Yao Noi.

On the island, you’ll stay in simple, comfortable, private air-conditioned accommodation, surrounded by tropical nature and close to the sea.

You have your own space to retreat to whenever you need it, while practices, meals and experiences bring the group together throughout the week.

It’s not about polished five-star luxury.

The luxury here is waking somewhere beautiful, having nowhere to rush to and being able to hear the island around you.

Food

Food is a big part of the experience.

Expect fresh, colourful Thai dishes, relaxed breakfasts, local lunches and dinners shared together overlooking the sea.

Some lunches are included as part of our adventure days, while at other times there is freedom to explore and choose what you fancy.

Vegetarian options are available, and vegan, gluten-free and dairy-free requirements can be catered for when arranged with us in advance.

What’s Included

  • 7 nights’ accommodation

  • Private, air-conditioned rooms

  • Scheduled transfers between Phuket and Koh Yao Noi

  • Yoga and mindful movement practices with Jax

  • Dawn Tai Chi where scheduled

  • Meditation, relaxation and yoga philosophy

  • Traditional Thai massage

  • Full-day 4 Island longtail boat adventure

  • Guided kayak and mangrove experience

  • Traditional Thai batik workshop

  • Opening and closing practices

  • Scheduled meals detailed within the itinerary

Not included: Flights, travel insurance, personal spending, additional treatments or activities, meals outside those included within the itinerary and anything not listed above.

£1,400 per person

20 places available.

Payment plan options are available.

If you’ve been craving somewhere to slow down, practise, explore and reconnect with yourself beyond the usual routines of home, this is your invitation.

Come and seek paradise with us.
