Meditation and Mindfulness
Science and yoga hold hands as we weave through a scientific explanation of stress and anxiety, we explain meditation and mindfulness, and we practise different meditations, on our way to understanding and welcoming aspects of the collective consciousness.
Anatomy and physiology
This is anatomy and physiology based on what you need to know for alignment, adjustment and safe teaching. An exploration into the body, an examination of skeletal and muscular structure, a journey into asana from an anatomical and physiological perspective, an investigation into this amazing body and its desire and ability for complexed, beautiful, movement.
Teaching methodology and structure
Using props, safe adjustment, good practise, safe boundaries. This module will include a wonderful experience to get ‘hands-on’ with lesson planning and to learn from each other with adjustments and use of props.
The Subtle body
An interesting, thoughtful, and blissful delving inside the koshas. Understanding, feeling, arriving.
Business and Marketing
Jackie launched the award-winning ‘The Orange Grove Complementary Health Clinic’, and the international teacher training school ‘ZenMuma and Zenkids’, the successful retreat and yoga training ‘Freedom Yoga and Retreats’, and runs a community interest company called ‘The Freedom Wellbeing Project’. Jackie has worked as a consultant for Premier Sport and West Lexham retreat centre. She had 11 years’ experience of working in TV at the BBC, ITV and Channel 4, and consistently appears in Om magazine and on the radio. Jackie holds a Masters in Global Social Development. We reflect on the balance of being business owners, and yogis, in terms of ethical standards and integrity, cultural referencing and promotion and PR. An interesting and invaluable module essentially designed to help you start your business and make it work for you.
“I’ve been a student of Jackie’s for nearly 6 years, and love the freshness and authenticity she brings to yoga classes and retreats. So when she announced that she was running a 200 hour yoga teacher training course, I leaped at the chance.
I’ve mused for some years about doing a 200 hour course as a way to deepen my practice and explore the full eight limbs of yoga. I really can’t imagine finding a more thoughtful and comprehensive blend of asana teaching and broader theory, covering philosophy, meditation, pranayama and so much more.
I’d recommend this yoga teaching course to anybody who wants a balanced, well-paced and personal 200 hour course..”
